What are coffee beans?

Coffee beans are the seeds of the coffee berry taken from the coffee plant. Once harvested, they are washed, dried and carefully roasted to develop their full flavour. The quality of the bean and the roasting process together determine the final result in your cup.

The coffee bush grows in tropical regions, mainly in South and Central America, Africa and Asia. Factors such as altitude, soil, climate and processing methods create huge differences in flavour. Think notes of chocolate and nuts, red fruit, citrus and floral aromas.
